The Clipper declined to publish this one last week because it went counter to the official position of the paper, that is, $145 a month isn’t really that much to pay to ride a train; which is probably true, if you add up the cost of driving. I have a bus pass that I use to get to and from work, paid for by my employer. The feeling that I was saving the planet wore off pretty quickly after a few days of wallowing in that special aroma of B.O., stale tobacco, and regurgitated alcohol that only government-funded public transportation can provide. Who can put a price on that?
