Utah ended up being the third reddest state in this year’s presidential election (McCain got 63% of the vote), just behind Oklahoma (66%) and Wyoming (65%). Looking back, my state’s going against the grain reminded me of my cartoon done right after the result of the 2006 congressional election, giving Democrats control of Congress and leadership positions to Barney Frank and Chris Dodd, instrumental players in the current financial meltdown. Wow, did I call this one two years ago or what?
